storyboard

From what I've done and seen about storyboarding it essentially is illustrating the scenes and breaking them into individual scenes. Storyboarding allows for the "flow" of the film, also it shows which shots look good and work together before filming so you can see what you like and do not like. Storyboarding also helps save filmmakers from wasting time and money. The biggest challenge of storyboarding is the actual drawings and having them look accurate. It is quite difficult to accurately convey what a scene will look like in real life when drawing. Proportions may be off when drawing, lighting is hard to directly show when you draw because the light source will be hard to detect as well. For me, the challenge was trying to get the lighting to be accurate, with the movie clip I picked there were many scenes with 3-point lighting which was so hard to get while drawing.
