Costumes !

 

Because our film opener is going to revolve around teenagers at a party, we decided to use teenage appropriate clothing. For example, skinny jeans, cute tops, vans, converse, etc... HOWEVER... we have had to have a *slight* change of plans. 

   

     Unfortunately, KeyClub is making me participate in something on Sunday (main filming day) at the EXACT SAME TIME as the time we would begin filming. We were planning to film at around 5/6 P.M. KeyClub needs me exactly at 5:30 so we had to switch filming time meaning we had to switch the "vibe" of the party. Rather than having a night party, we will have a pool party.     

    

     Now, our costumes will consist of (appropriate) jean shorts, tops, sandals, etc... Our characters will also be wearing sunglasses. The character I am playing will be wearing PINK and she will be the only character wearing PINK. This will separate her from the rest of the characters, so it can be evident that she is the main character. Her accessories and her "perfect" makeup will be a part of the whole "perfect/main character" persona. 

     The other characters (Kimora/Natasha/Jacob/Naline's characters) will be wearing much more "normal" pool party clothing. This will look average and dull to minimize the importance of their characters. 

 

As for hairstyles, since my hair was messy today (02/11) I put it in a slicked-back bun, so for the scenes that will take place in the present (pool scenes/bathroom scene/opening scene), my hair will be slicked back. For the flashback scenes, we have not discussed them yet but my hair will likely be down how it naturally is. 

For the flashback scene, my character will be wearing "home" clothing, for example, sweatpants/yoga pants or pajamas since she will be in the comfort of her own home.

There will be things that are usually seen at pool parties, for instance, speakers, chips (or any food that someone can easily munch on). We will also have IPhones as a prop. My character will wear a side purse throughout the opening credit scene and there will be lipgloss inside. Every character will have their phone as a prop, but only the character I am playing will have extra props because she is the main character.
