Main Character Moment

MAIN CHARACTER ANALYSIS

So as the main character will be played by yours truly... it would be very easy to describe me physically, emotionally, etc..!

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

A 17-year-old girl with short stature (around 5'2), long brown hair (but in most scenes, she will have her hair high in a bun), brown eyes, full eyebrows, thin lips, and pale skin. She also is wearing jean shorts, sandals (but those were not included in the bathroom scene), and a bright pink top. The pink embraces her femininity. Along with her outfit, she has a small white purse and white sunglasses to match. Inside her small course, the main character carries lipgloss which she reapplies during the bathroom scene. She also has her cell phone in her pocket. Her costume and her props all match in order for the audience to perceive this "perfect persona" and the "it girl" look.

PERSONALITY:

Rachel, the main character, has a mysterious personality and almost "hidden" personality. She is trying to cover up her mess of a life so she puts on a fake act to accomplish that. So we see her smile a lot and carry herself high so nobody suspects that she is actually crumbling inside. That being said, we do see Rachel's "fake" personality crack, and her real one is revealed. We first see it when she begins arguing with Vanessa (Natasha's character). Her insecurities start coming out. She hates her life and is very self-conscious. So, the personality she shares with her friends is not her true personality.

MENTAL STATE:

Mentally, Rachel is really struggling. She views herself very lowly and has bad self-esteem. Due to the mess going on in her life, she is not doing well psychologically. Hiding in all her inner sadness and anger can only go so far, and we see that in this film where she cracks under the pressure and overall sadness. Her one motivation is to find true happiness, all she wants is a normal life. She hates that she has to put on a fake facade in order to pretend everything is okay, she wants everything to actually be normal.

OVERALL:

To sum everything up, Rachel's life is quite literally a hot mess. She makes everything seem fine when in reality everything is not fine. Some may say she is strong for keeping up the fake personality, while others may say that she is actually weak for not seeking help.
