GROUP DYNAMICS

 

I know there are only three girls in the photo even though there were four girls in our group, but the photo was too cute not to include. 

Because we all knew each other before filming, that was a huge advantage. We were all comfortable around one another since we all have known each other since 6th grade. Because of that, it was never really awkward to be around one another because we have all have a past history together. 

I believe I was heavily involved and served a very important part as I was the main character since I volunteered to do the acting. Also, I came up with the initial idea for our film. This helped a lot since we had somewhat of a "base" to start with. Also, I drew everything for the storyboards we created. As we currently speak, I am finishing up the updated storyboard! I tried to help Alexa and Lucia as much as possible by joining their calls and giving feedback. I would take time out of my study halls to join Alexa, Lucia, and Kimora to discuss certain aspects of our film. I was able to bring in the extras as well, I was the casting director if you will. I know I was a vital member of the team, but so was everybody else. 

Next, we have the wonderful Alexa who contributed SO MUCH. First off, she allowed us to use her bathroom as one of our filming locations. Her bathroom was perfect. She also asked her father if we could use his camera and he allowed us to, again, without the professional camera our film would have probably been REALLY bad. The quality of the professional camera was *chefs kiss*. On top of that, she wrote our script based on the ideas I was blabbing out. Not only did she save us with everything I previously mentioned, BUT SHE DID THE EDITING. She truly helped so much, she dedicated so much time to the post-production process. I know Alexa has a lot on her plate, school-wise, so the fact that she did all that she did for our film was very kind and thoughtful of her. I am so very grateful for her. 

Lucia was also so helpful and very important in making our film come to life. Even though I came up with the idea and the base of our film, Lucia helped with the details, like the party, the friends, the questions, etc... Also, Lucia allowed us to use her house for the second day of filming! Her backyard was stunning and really helped our film be the film we envisioned. She was also a very useful helping hand with Alexa and joined her every second of the way when Alexa needed assistance. Lucia also made our official title shot which was amazing, because she did a really good job. 

Finally, Kimora was also great. She was my ride when filming, I literally could not have gotten there without her LOL. Also, she helped a lot with the filming, she would make sure we were on task and would assist Alexa with angles, visuals, etc... She was present and active throughout it all and would give feedback in the group chat which was certainly useful. Kimora really saved us on the first day of filming because we forgot a very important prop, but she was able to drive back to her house and get the prop (which was the lipgloss). During the first day of filming, she would often give me pep talks so I could get in character, again she was a very important member. 

Overall, I am SO HAPPY with my group. Us four girls worked very well together and I really would not want to work on this project with anyone else but them. I have so much gratitude for them and I know this project would have been 10 times more difficult had one of us not been included.
