iMovie sent me down emotional spirals during the process of making this project.
Okay so I should probably preface this by saying that I actually do not hate iMovie, it was very useful in getting our project done, BUT the number of issues my group faced with using iMovie sent me down an emotional spiral.
First off, attempting to find out how to up the saturation was literally mission impossible. It was such a difficult task I wanted to chuck my phone across the room when being on the call with my group. Lucia, Alexa, and I struggled so much, luckily we found it BUT IT TOOK FOREVER.
To continue, I understand that having a wide variety of fonts is generally a good thing, but why on Earth do 90% of those fonts look the exact same. My group went through every single font- which I guess is on us we didn't have to do the most but we are all perfectionists so let's disregard our neurotic tendencies- and it was so time-consuming and frustrating since everything looked the same (except for some fonts).
Also, to say making the official title was painful is simply an understatement. I don't know why iMovie kept making the quality look HIDEOUS but it was so blurry and grainy and it did not cooperate. We, and by we I mean Lucia, had to go on a whole other website (Canva) and create the title sequence there and while yes, it worked out, it was really hard! If iMovie would have just not made the title blurry, we would not have been so stressed with that situation.
All this being said, I can happily say that we had more good experiences than bad and I love being dramatic about situations like these. iMovie was a blessing (most times...) and it is easily one of the best editing software for projects like these. I'm still angry that it made us make a whole separate title but we can't have everything be perfect I suppose.
